Tristan Mory was born in 1981 in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine). He studied mechanical engineering and then visual communications, but his dream was always to draw – which he had been doing from a young age – and to work with children. A fan of illustration and a children’s book collector, he began his career as a graphic designer at Milan Presse: “J’apprends à lire”, “Toboggan”, “Toupie”, “Histoires pour les petits”. He gradually became a full-time freelance illustrator and published his first book with Actes Sud Junior, “Patabulle – Les Pieds sur terre” in 2011, the same year his daughter was born. Two more “Patabulle” books then followed, as well as the “Les Pops” series with Albin Michel Jeunesse, written by Juliette Vallery. “Dina dit non” and “Zoé Zizanie – Un chat dans la gorge" were his first picture books published by Milan. He loves pop-ups and enjoys exploring the mechanisms of interactive books, in a popular and timeless style that is constantly evolving. This is reflected by the successful “Qui suis-je ?”, “Bravo, petits doigts !” or “Devine quoi !”, published by Milan. Tristan Mory lives and works in Toulouse.
