Souleymane Mbodj is a storyteller, composer, and musician. He was born in Senegal, and for many years, he has devoted himself to the transmission of African tales in schools, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education. He taught musicology at the ‘Centre de Formation des Musiciens Intervenants’ at the Paris-Sud University, specializing in African tales, oral literature, songs and rhythms. He regularly performs in shows, festivals, and schools in France and abroad. In 2020, he was named Knight of the National Order of Merit by the French Ministry of Education. He lives in Paris.
