Rémi Courgeon was born in Choisy-le-Roi, in the Val-de-Marne region. After graduating from the Ecole Estienne, he began working in advertising and created cartoon reports for magazines and NGOs. He is also a painter, and his work is regularly exhibited in France and abroad. He has written and illustrated numerous picture books, such as “Le Mystère Ferdinand”, “Passion et Patience” and “Ta peau contre la mienne”, published by Éditions Milan. He was awarded the ‘Prix Chrétien de Troyes’ in 2013 and the ‘Best Illustrated Children’s Book Award’ in 2017 for “Brindille”, a book recommended by the French Education Ministry. His picture book “Blancs comme neige” also won the ‘Prix Gayant Lecture’ in 2015, and “Tiens-toi droite” was awarded the ‘Prix Facile’ in 2020. He currently lives in Les Lilas, on the outskirts of Paris.
