Éric BATTUT was born in 1968 and lives in Chamalières. He graduated from the Émile Cohl School in Lyon. He has received several prizes for his illustrations, and his picture books are published by Milan, Didier Jeunesse and Retz Editions. For Bayard Jeunesse, in the Les Belles Histoires series for the very young, he illustrated Le petit chasseur de bruits (a best-seller in the series), Au cirque Bavard, Deux amis pour la vie, La baleine et le petit poisson, and Grosse Patate.
